old art
hiiii !
I haven't made new art in a while, but I still wanna share some art with you guys so here's some art from a few years ago, and some of the trends in my art from then.
I used to use markers sooo much.
I did a lot of these object-faces and object-heads back in 2020!
I'm really inspired by this era of my art & wanna make art like this now!!
I think what was so fun about it was that I just drew random people, not trying to make it look like any actual person or character! this goose one was inspired by a reference I found on Pinterest but I also changed a lot about it from the reference
I like drawing random people without names or backstories but also drawing them multiple times!! it feels easier than drawing an original character/fan art
a lot of my old art looks like this ⬆️ just random/humorous/cute little illustrations. I wanna bring those back
(sidenote: danielle krysa, aka the jealous curator [podcaster and blogger] has always encouraged her listeners to use humor in their art. I LOVE listening to her podcast Art for Your Ear and she often talks about her experiences being discouraged from using humor in art, by art professors. she has talked about how hard it is to be taken seriously in the fine art world as a woman, but also as someone who likes to do humorous art. anyway. I love funny paintings and illustrations and sculptures and I was very inspired by her attitude that you can do things you like in your own art!!!)
that being said...
part of a nutritious breakfast.
moon infographic, not based in reality
"let that sink in". I swear I thought of this joke before anyone else.
positive self portraits from 2019/2020ish
merit badges that I sold as stickers for a minute
I think I titled this "better football teams"
I had a very short lived glittery gifs era
I did this art challenge a few years ago called Funtime February on instagram, and I didn't finish it but I liked the drawings I got out of it. here's a couple.
lego meds
a staple in my old art is the humble self portrait. I love this one!
iPad doodle of me on my balcony of my first college apartment!!
classic carly rae jepsen slay
so after looking at all of that, I think I wanna make some goals for myself and my art !!!

another thing I wanted to talk about was possibly making a postcard club or newsletter or some other kind of mail club.
im thinking I'd either request a small donation ($5-10 per mail) or that you send me some art in return? idk. what do you guys think.
